I sincerely hope that 2016 is ending on a good note for you and your families. A heartfelt “ Thank you !” to all who joined us for our annual V-E Day , Columbus Day and Veterans’ Day celebrations. Your spirited presence made for memorable experiences.
I would like to extend a cordial invitation to you, your family and colleagues to join us for the annual Anniversary of the “Battle of the Bulge “ celebration and help honor the memory of our compatriots and allied troops whose sacrifice in one of the fiercest land battles of WWII made the freedoms we cherish today possible. If you have relatives who served in WWII , be it in the “Bulge” or elsewhere, please bring stories and photographs with you (if you have any).
This year’s anniversary celebration will take place on Saturday , December 10th , 6:30-9 PM at Clyde’s in Chevy Chase ( Travel bar upstairs). No RSVP is necessary. If you have colleagues who have been recently hired or others who simply wish to meet & network with DHS colleagues, feel free to extend this invitation to them, too.
Clyde’s is 1 block from the Western Ave. exit of the Friendship Heights Metro stop on the Red Line to Shady Grove. Free parking is available across from Clyde’s at the Courtyard Marriott –Chevy Chase ( weekends only, http://www.marriott.com/hotels/travel/wasvy-courtyard-chevy-chase/).
